Review for defence and security industry 1/2025
Dear Readers,
At the outset, I must sincerely say that both MS Line publishing house and the editorial board of the magazine greatly appreciate the fact that a significant number of Czech defence and security industry companies have chosen the magazine REVIEW and the Security & Defence Technologies Catalogue of the Czech Republic to present their activities in the past year. Out of the approximately 200 companies in the AOBP CR membership base, around 130 companies, equivalent of two-thirds, used the magazine for their presentation. We view this as a reward for our year-round work, and we deeply appreciate it.
On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude, especially to the Representative Editorial Board, which is truly active, with each member contributing to the high informational value of the content in Review. During the annual meeting in January, almost all branches from the defence and security community were represented: MoFA of the CR, the MoD of the CR, the MoI of the CR, as well as their operational units, including the Army of the Czech Republic, the Czech Police, and the Fire Rescue Service of the Czech Republic, along with the Czech Customs Administration, the Czech Prison Service, and the Administration of State Material Reserves of the Czech Republic. Together with top representatives of the industry, they form a unique community, which is in a way unparalleled and original, even outside the Czech Republic. This is confirmed by our report from the annual meeting and the recognition of the best in the final section of this issue. A big thank you also goes to the Presidium of AOBP CR, the Brno Trade Fairs, the management of FFF, the CIHELNA event, and many others for their excellent collaboration in 2024.
A separate chapter of our publishing house’s work is the fresh Security & Defence Technologies Catalogue 2025–2026, the content of which you can learn more about on the pages of this issue. We have also started preparing a specialized publication IDET NEWS, which will be available to all visitors and exhibitors at the IDET, ISET, and PYROS 2025 trade fairs in Brno.
Finally, I must emphasize that the long-standing tradition of Awarding the Best Individuals, Companies, and Products is also maintained, and we return to this topic at the end of this issue.
It is an honour for us that our publishing house and editorial board could, even if in a small way, contribute to the successes of the Czech defence and security industry through nearly thirty years of media support and promotion both domestically and internationally. I believe that our publishing plan for 2025 will fully satisfy everyone who wishes to participate in this communication.
